`This point meeting between the city council end the board of education was
held in the teacher®s lounge at the high school, Meeting began at 7x00 p,m,
A11 members of the city council ware present, Staff members present were Wayne
Burggraaffe city manager9 Harvey Feldman9 park and recreation director9 and
Peter Eberz9 public works directoro
`The meeting was opened by the chairman of the school board who indicated
that the purpose was to consider the construction of two pools to be built by
the school district and the possibility of some finan cial contribution to be
made by the citya Both the school superintendent and the city manager made
presentations relating to user arrangements as well as the investment of capital
fund.f for the outdoor wading pool and patio area at the West Junior High School
pool, After discussions Mayor Loren Law indicated that it would be desirable
if the city council could formally take action on this matter,
Motion by Ludeman9 seconded by Jacobsen9 that the city council authorize
an investment of $70x300 for the outdoor wading pool and patio with the provision
that these facilities are constructed in accordance with the specifications
(Sheet 13 of the architectural drawings for the West Junior High School pool
dated December 19fl 1974 and included in the bid documents) and that the city
payment not be made until after January 1a 1977 with the dates of payment to
be negotiated between the city manager and the school superintend~nta `The city
manager stated that the investment of ~70~300 wo~l~ have to be made a part of an
agreement which will need to be entered into between

the school district and the City of Richfieldo

Motion by Jacobsens seconded by Luettinger, that the city manager meet with
representatives of the school administration to negotiate a tentative agreement
on how the school district would make pools available for city use and other forms
of community uses
All ayes - Carried,
It was agreed that the school board and the city council would meet again

of discussing the tentative agreement that the school superintendent and the city
manager have negotiatede
