Dr. Joseph. Keenan, a teacher, represented Mrs. Donovan, the owner. Dr. Keenan stated Mrs. Donovan.is desirous of marketing this property and reported this. is a hardship case due to the owner's health. Donald Lynch, 6617 Lakeshore Drive, inquired about the public alley use and the hours of business. Ellsworth Casperson, 6633 Lakeshore Drive, inquired about the environmental effects, such as odors and lighting. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Ludeman, to defer this item to the first meeting in June, June 9, 1975. All ayes m Carried. 3. Amendment to Chapter V, Part II, Section 5.19 of the Ordinance Code Relating to Bingo. The city manager reviewed the proposed bingo ordinance change. City attorney, Clayton LeFevere, read the following proposed change to the second sentence of the ordinance amendments "No member shall receive compensation of any kind for his services in conducting the game in excess of the compensation provided by state law." George Kenealey, 206 Northwest Financial Center, attorney representing the 3ingo Association, appeared and spoke in favor of this ordinance amendment. Don Lawrence,.7327 Wentworth Avenue South, representing the American Legion and Babcock VFW Bingo Associations, also spoke in favor of the proposal. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Ludeman, that this hearing be closed. All ayes a Carried.
