SPECIAL MEETING
September 12, 2973
Pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter of Richfield, the City Council
held a borYtinued special session on Wednesday, September l2, 1973, at 7:00 P.ri.,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 6700 Portland Avenue, to further discuss
the 1974 proposed budget.
The meeting was Balled to order by Mayor Law.
Present: Councilmen m Anderson, Jacobsen, Kenealey, and Mayor Law.
Absent; Councilman Luettinger, (Arrived at 8;00 P. M.)
The City Manager reviewed the general summary he presented at the budget meeting
of September 5, 1973,
Councilman Luettinger arrived at 8;00 P. M.
Discussion involved the following divisions; Legal, Accounting, City Clerk,
~~ Elections; Assessing, Planning, Police, Fire, Engineering, Inspection, Streets,
Street Lighting, General Government Buildings, and Library, The department heads
for these divisions were present, .
The following persons appeared and spoke in: interest;
Lawrence Wozniczka, 6744 Wentworth Avenue
Duane Iverson, 7536 Dupont Avenue
1. ELECTIONS.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Kenealey, that $5,fl00 be deleted from the 1973
budget for the Election Department,
All ayes A Carried.
2. PLANNING DEPARTMENT.
Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that $3,fl00 be deleted from the
1973 revised budget for the Planning Department,
All ayes -~ Carried,
3. Adjournment,
