12-06-1972 Specialczar o~ RICHFIE"yD Minutes of Special Meeting December 6, 1972 The Council. of the City of Richfield met in special session at East Elementary School, at 7x00 p,mo, on Wednesday, December 6, 1972, for a hearing to consider 1973 permanent bituminous streets, concrete curbs .and gutter, and~~ornamental street lights in District No, 140 (`T'hat area bounded on~the north by 62nd Street, west by 11th Avenue, east by 23rd Avenue and south by 66.th~Street, excepting part of 62nd Street and part of 66~h Street,. Also, the area bounded on the north by 66th-Street, west of Highway 36 Service Road, east by 21st Avenue and South by 69th Street), The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lawn Present; Councilmen s Anderson, Kenealey, and Luettinger. Mayor Lawa Absento .Councilman Jacobsen - (out of town on business), City Manager Wayne Burggraaff provided bacleground information on this project (CoP~ No. 650)9 and gave a slide presentation on permanent street construction and ornamental street lighting, `There were 30 persons in attendance regresenting primarily Ricci Acres and the New T'ordtown area,' questions were answered by the staff and council, Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Anderson that the hearing be closed on 1973 permanent bituminous streets, concrete curbs and. gutter, and ornamental street lights for District No, 140 All ayes m Carried, Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Kenealey, that the engineer checlc existing night time conditions and confirm the need for lights on Longfellow Avenue adjacent to Rich Acres subdivision and determine whether Longfellow Avenue was wide enough youth of 66th Street, A11 ayes ~ Carrieda - 2 - December 6, 1972 Motion by Luettinger,. seconded by Kenealey, that the following resolution be adogtedg that it be spread in the resolution book and that it be made a part of these minuteso RESOLUTION No. 4882 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT - DISTRICT No. 14 City Project ~k650 Poll of voteso Ayes - Anderson, Kenealey, Luettinger and Law.
