Minutes of Special Meeting
November 9, 1972
`lfi.e Council of the City of Richfield met in special session at the City Hall
Council Chambers, at 7100 p.m. on 2"huraday, November 9, 1972, for a hearing to
consider 1973 permanent bituminous streets, concrete curbs and gutter, and orna®
mental street lights in District No. 5. ('T'hat area bounded on the north by 66th
Street, west by Portland Ave., south by 72nd Street and east by 12th Avenue ex=
cepting 66th Street, Portland Avenue and 12th Avenue).
'Ih.e meeting was called to order by Mayor Law.
Presents Councilmen Anderson, Jacobsen, Kenealey, and Luettinger.
Mayor ®Law.
Absents None.
Wayne Burggraaff, city manager, gave a slide presentation on permanent street
construction and ornamental street lighting, and also provided bac~Cground informam
Lion on this project...City Project No. 650. Sam Huston, consulting engineer from
Orr=Schelen~Mayeron and Associates, reviewed the planning proposed for this area and
explained basic information regarding the preliminary engineer's 'report for this 1973
permanent street construction project.
George E. Brandon, 6611 Park Avenue, and J. L. Lebeck, 6624. Oakland Avenue,
appeared in interest and asked questions.
1. 1973 Street Improvements.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the hearing be closed on 1973
permanent bituminous streets, concrete curbs and gutter, and ornamental street lights
for District No. 5.

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Kenealey, that the following resolution be adopted;
that it be spread in the resolution book and that it be made a part of these minutest

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Kenealey, that the following resolution be
adopted; that it be spread in the resolution book and that it be made a part of
these minutes:
