Hearing minutes, be approved as presented, with one correction being made to the

2. Hearing on Rezoning - Shelter Development Co. - Locationo 6324-6342 Aldrich Ave.
It being 7000 p.m. May®r Law called for the hearing on the rez®ning request by
Shelter Development Company, to rezone the property at 6324-6342 from Residential
to Multiple Residential,
Robert Strout, representing Shelter Development Corp®ration, the applicant9
gave a presentation on the proposed rezoning. (C-9429~b
Bud Egge, real estate consultant, discussed the effects of the 5070 tax abate
meet provisions for this type of improvement.
Larry Westerbeck, of Mi11er, Melby & Hans®n, Architects, presatxtad preliminary
~~,terior and eaeterior plans for the pr~aperty.
Earl, Maffei, 6745 Harriet Avenue, questioned lack of a plat being filed.
John Dean, City Attorney, answered question regarding plat,

Mayor Law read two getitions he had received a one from senior citizens favoring
the project (C-9432, and the other from residents in the area of the 6360 block of
Aldrich Avenue in opposition to the project (C-9433),

Mr. Kenneth Mayo, representing National Food Stores, requested that the variance
for their store at the Hub Shopping Center be deferred..,

The city manager read a letter from Roy E. Thompson, 6645 - 12th Avenue, re-
guesting that his assessment, in the amount of $366.18, for storm sewer project
~~520, be removed from the assessment roll, having subsequently filed a written appeal
(C=9435) from council°s previous action at the September 11th council meeting.
'fhe staff reported that this property did not receive a special benefit from
the storm sewer.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Kenealey, that the assessment for property at
6645 0 12th Avenue, City Project No. 620, in the amount of $366018, be stricken
from the assessment rolls.

90 Authorization to take bids on Street Trees.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Kenealey, that the council authorize the call
for bids on October 24, 1972, at 11030 a0m., for the purchase of thirty-five (35)
