Minutes of Special Meeting
September 5, 1972
The Council of the City of Richfield met in special session at the city hall
council chambers, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 1972, for a hearing to
consider 1973 permanent bituminous streets, concrete curbs and gutter, and orna®
mental street lights in District No. 4. (That area bounded on the north by 76th
Street, west by Penn Avenue, south by Highway 494 and east by Highway 35W, excepting
76th Street, Penn Avenue, Highway 494 and Highway 35W~.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Law.
Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Kenealey, Luettinger and Law. Absent ~ None.
Wayne Burggraaff, city manager, gave a slide presentation on permanent street
construction ana ornamental street lighting, and also provided background information
on this project..,City Project No. 650.
R. J. Huston, consulting engineer from Orr~Schelen-Mayeron and Associates, rem
viewed the planning proposed for this area and explained basic information regarding
the preliminary engineer°s report for this. 1973 permanent street construction project..

Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the hearing be closed. an 1973
permanent bituminous streets, concrete. curbs and gutter, and ornamental street. lights

'rhe council requested that the-staff review the `effeot of. the private commercial
lighting in this area to determine whether all street lights°need to be installed.
