SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
AREA No. 4
May 18, 1972
The Council of the City of Richfield met in special session at Centennial
School, 73rd and Bloomington Avenue, on Thursday, May 18, 1972, at 7.:00 p.m.,
for a hearing to consider permanent street construction and ornamental street
lighting. projects for Area No. 4 - located as follows:
Every lot, piece and parcel of land abutting upon or being within one-half
block east or west from 12th Avenue from 66th Street to 73rd Street; and
Every lot, piece and parcel of land lying south of Diagonal Boulevard and
north of 72nd Street between Bloomington Avenue and Cedar Avenue; and
Lots 6 through 10, Block 4, Petit Fifth Addition; and
Lots 5 through 8, Block 2, Petit Fourth Addition; and
Lots 1 through 3, Block 1, and Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, and Lots 3 through
9, Block 5, and Lots 7 through 14, Block 6, and Lots 1 through 7, Block 8,
all in Engberg Walden Second Addition; and
Lots 6 through 11, Block 1, Cedar-Sunrise, Third Addition.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Law.
Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Kenealey, Luettinger and Law. Absent - none.
Wayne Burggraaff, city manager, gave a slide presentation on permanent
street construction and ornamental street lighting program and also provided
background information on the two proposed projects.
Sam Huston, consulting engineer from Orr-Schelen-Mayeron and Associates,
reviewed the planning proposed for this area and explained basic information re-
garding the preliminary engineer's report for the permanent street construction
project.

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the hear ing be closed.

Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the following resolution
be adopted; that it be spread in the resolution book and that it be made a part
