12-21-1970 Budget HearingCITY OF RICHFIELD BUDGET HEARING December 21, 1970 0 Pursuant to the council meeting of November 23, 1970, the city council set the date for hearing on the remainder of the 1971 operating budget for December 21, 1970, at 6:30 P.M., in the council chambers of the city hall, 6700 Portland Avenue So. The meeting was called to ozder by Mayor Olson. Absent -None. (Councilman Anderson arrived at 7:00 P.M.) 1. Enterprise Funds - Liquor Store, Lyndale Avenue„ Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Law, that the capital outlay item for a commercial incinerator in the amount of $5,000 be deleted and that $1,200 be added to account ~~1290 for a refuse hauling contract. All ayes - Carried. Absent - Anderson. 2. Enterprise Funds - Liquor Store, Cedar Avenue. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the capital outlay item for a commercial incinerator in the amount of $5,000 be deleted, that $600 be added to account ~~1290 for a refuse hauling contract, and that $4,200 be added to capital out- lay account ~~1520 for the replacement of the outdoor sign. All ayes - Carried. 3. Enterprise Funds - Public Works. Motion by Olson, seconded by Law, that the capital outlay item for screen planting, 1 landscaping and fountain improvements at the Water Treatment Plant, be reduced to $18,820...a reduction of $980. All ayes - Carried. 4, Enterprise Funds -Sewer Utility. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, to reduce contractural services, account ~k1240, to $195,927...a reduction of $104,073 to reflect actual rather than anticipated Metropolitan Sewer Board bill for 1971. A11 ayes - Carried, - 2 - Budget Hearing December 21, 1970 5. Enterprise Funds. Motion made by I,uettinger, seconded by Olson, to accept the enterprise funds as proposed and amended. A11 ayes - Carried. 6. Detail Expenditures -State Aid Street. The State-Aid Street budget was reviewed and no changes made by the council since this activity ties into future decis~.ons on capital improvements. 7. Detail Expenditures - Debt Service Funds. The DeTat Service Funds budget was reviewed and approved. 8. Detail Expenditures - Central Garage and Equipment Revolving Fund. The Central Garage and Equipment Revolving Fund budget was reviewed and approved. 9. Detail Expenditures - Data Processing Revolving Fund. The Data Processing Revolving Fund budget was reviewed and approved. 10. Adjournment. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by T.,aw, that the meeting be adjourned, A11 ayes - Carried.
