Budget Hearing

In accordance with action taken at the meeting of Sept. 30, 1969, the
council of the City"of Richfield met in the council chambers of the City Ha11,
6700 Portland Ave.•,'Monday, Oet. 20, 1969 at 7:00 p,m.
Mayor Olson called the meeting to order.
Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Law and Olson.
Absent: None.
The city manager reviewed the six year capital improvement budget proposal.

Don Brauer, Brauer and Associates, presented a summary of their recommendam
tion on the park analysis.
Robert M. Lambert, 315 E. 65th St., inquired about the Donaldson Park im-
provement and stressed the completion of the ball park.
Ray Diekman, 7038 2nd Ave. S., appeared representing an ice arena committee.
Larry Hendrickson introduced speakers from the high school in behalf of the
ice arena proposal.

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Law, that the council receive the report
of the Ice Arena Committee and direct the administration to make a feasibility
study which would suggest alternate-methods of financing an ice arena. A muni®
cipal golf course and a project of enclosing the swimming pool as well as inm
cluding some of the neighborhood park projects is to be submitted to the
council at the Novemi~er 5th hearing. All ayes m carried.
