2025-09-23 Resolution 12339City of Richfield County of Hennepin State of Minnesota September 23, 2025 RESOLUTION NO. 12339 Motion by: Hayford Oleary Seconded by: Burk RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES AND AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION BEING HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2025 WHEREAS, Minnesota Election Law 204B.21 requires election judges for precincts in a municipality be appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and WHEREAS, the City of Richfield is required to appoint election judges to serve at the General Election to be held on November 4, 2025; and WHEREAS, a list of individuals qualified and trained to serve as election judges has been submitted to the City Council and is attached hereto as Exhibit A and is also on file in the office of the City Clerk. WHEREAS, the city is responsible for establishing an Absentee Ballot Board as authorized under Minn. Stat. 203B.121, and authorizes the City Clerk to oversee the appointment and procedural processes of the Absentee Ballot Board; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, that the individuals named on Exhibit A, and on file in the office of the City Clerk, be and hereby are appointed to serve as Election Judges, including but not limited to Absentee Ballot Board Judges, Absentee Voting Election Judges, and Election Day Judges, for the General Election to be held on November 4, 2025. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized to make any necessary substitutions or additions as needed to ensure proper staffing of all election-related duties, and to assign judges as required for all aspects of the election process.
