~T~ Op RAG Budget Hearing dept. 2®, ].968 In accordance Frith action then at the m®eting of August 268 1966, the council. met in special session in the council chambers of the City Hal]., 6700 1'ortl.and Ave., Friday, Sept. 20, 196$ at 7:00 P.M. ~'he meeting was called to offer b;~r Mayor Olsoa~. Presence Anderson, Luettinger and Olson. Absent: Jacobsen. Randall. arrived later. Old Business Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the council increase the budget for temporary employees of the Clerk_Treasurer an additional $390 to a total of $600. A11 ayes m carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that $789 be eliminated ender contributions, grants and subsidies in the current expense of the Legal Depart- ment for an ad3usted total for current expense of $20,526. All ayes ®carried. Councilman Randall arrived. New Business The acting manager explained throughout the entire budget discussion, sig® nificant changes in the proposed budget on those account items for current expense, The council asked for discussion on the Human Rights Commission budget. Mrs. Geri ~+Taterman appeared. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the council approve the services of 1/~. employee as recommended by the eating manager. All ayes ®carried. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Randall, that the council approve $1953 for Human Rights current ex~nses as recommended by the acting city manager. All ages carxd.ed. ®g® Sept. 20, 1968 Motion by Randall, seconded by Luettinger, that the council approve $22,015 for current expenses for the fire department as recommended by the noting city manager. All ayes carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that administ~~tive procedures be ,,~_:~~;~ged on the billing of water pool f311ing service to ?~clude more than j~.L~-~ the cost of water. All ayes ®carried. Motion by Randall, seconded by Luettinger, that $300 additional be ap- proved for air conclitioning on the proposed sedan for the fire department, and to add $250 for air conditi oning the fire inspector's car. All ayes ~ carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Randall, that the council approve the amended figure of $16,670 for capital outlay for the fire department. All ayes carried.
