The council of the City of Richfield met in regular session in the
council chambers of the City Hall, 6700 Portland Ave.,. Monday# Angu.st 264
1968 at 7400 P.M.
Councilman A. P. Anderson gave the invocation.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olson,
Presents Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettlnpr, Randall and Olson.

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that minutes of the regular

4. Discussion - Airport Property
Councilman, Luettinger reported a meeting he attended with several MAC
representatives and it was suggested that a study ooma ttse be formed to re-
commend solutions to questions on the airport. property.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, to delete the entire sentence
in parenthesis in paragraph 3 (c) of Subdivisipn 5• (Recreational facilities
not available for use by the general.public, if not located within multiple
residence buildings, shall be considered part of suoh open yard areas.)

of Thomas M. Barrett,, 1 811 Ekcelsior Blvd. , for an apar-Lt!_� -:t use permit at
0,20 -28 Standish Ave. and read the notice of hearing.
Thomas Barrett, applicant, appeared and indicated that he was willing
to wait on his application since the council has created an airport property
study committee.
Motion by Anderson,, seconded by Jacobsen., that the council defer action
on this matter until the airport property committee has made its study and
report. All ayes ® carried.
9. Hearing ® Vacation of Streets and Alleys - 63rd and Dupont
It being 7015 P.M. Mayor Olson called for the hearing on vacation of
streets and alleys in the vicinity of 63rd and Dupont and read the notice of
hearing.
No one appeared in interest.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that the hearing be closed. All
ayes ® carried.

Mayeron & Associates, Inc,, be requested to make a study of the problem and
make a preliminary report with cost estimates. All ayes - carried.

preliminary report at the council meeting of Sept. 9, 1968. All ayes - carried.
