J. H. Add comment that the mayor was opposed to a 33% increase for police current eacpenses' but favored 23%, Fire Dept,, was opposed to 35% increa.~e but recoamaended 25%. The attorney gave an answer to the rumor that the airport was going to acquire property in this area, as-being entirely negative, and tMtat the Air- port Authority lacked any autr~ori ty to expand without public hearing. Mrs Flavin,. 6831 19th Ave., was opposed. Mrs. Andrus, 6810 19th Ave,, spoke in fever of the surface storm sewer. Willard Campbell, 68®1 19th Ave., asked question ®f drainage, The attorney explained that the persons contributing to the prgblem have an obligation legally, Mrs Campbell stated he also feels there is more area contributing to this drainage than is now included. Councilman Jacobsen stated that Yie felt the city has some obligation in this matter and should pick up half the cost, Councilman Luettinger ex- pressed agreements The engineer stated that this pr®ject appears to satisfy tYie drainage in the areas. a slab.
