Jerry Sartor, 6335 Russell Ave,, ob3ected to traffic, Gordon Lundberg, 6315 Sheridan Ave., objected to traffic and felt such business would be less than highest use. Peterson, b32~. Russell Ave,, appeared in objection, stating that the installation of a traffic signal may accentuate the traffic problem. Robert Gunderson presented a request to d efer this matter in order to allow Sheridan School traffic study by the school board. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that this hearing be continued to November 28, 1966 to allow the city to study the traffic flow, to contact county for possible traffic sign at 64th and Penn Ave, and an opportunity for applicant to meet with. school officials, All ayes -carried, 31. Hearing -Water Availability Charge ... Tt being 7015 P,M, Mayor Olson called for the hearing on the consideration of a water availability charge and read the notice of hearing. A discussion took place on .its fairness; the attorney gave an opinion that this charge eras legal and that it should be levied against all properties with- out discrim~.nation, Charles Little, 6900 Penn Ave., favored less than a minimum charge, or $15.0o per year. Charles Pallas, 63It4 Russell Ave.,. appeared, t Jerry Sartor, 6335-Russell Ave,, asked if there was enough mater for a11, Ted Farrington asked how the billing would be made. 4. -6- Nov. 11a, 1966 Cornelius_McCoy asked how this would be imposed and favored the charge. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the attorney draw up a pro- posed ordinance for November 28th, setting rate around $52,000 revenue to be earned (1/2 total need), Stith the first reading at the Dec. 12th meeting.
