Tn accor dance with action taken at the meeting of Oct. 4, 1966, the _~ city council. met at an ad3ourned meeting in the council. chambers of the City Hall, 6700 Portland: Ave ,, at 7w00 P,M. The meeting was called to or der bq Mayor Bison. Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and Olson. • Absent:- None. Also present were department heads from the following: Fire,. Police, Public ti9orks, Park, Street and Utility superintendents,.Captain Roman and Lt. Erickson. CAPITAL OUTLAY YTBMS Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the request for an elec- tric typewriter in the executive department be deleted. All ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the request for two :..electric typewriters in the clerk-treasurer 8ivision be deleted. Ali ayes - carried. Motion by Randall, seconded try Luettinger, that the council authorize a new typewriter for the assessor's division. All ayes - carried. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council authorize a new typewriter for the engineering department.but.delete the electric type-- writer. All ayes - carried. Motion by Randall, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council authorize~a voucher file for tlie~~finance department. Poll of votes:- Ayes -Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger and Randall. Motion,by Anderson, that the council delete $18,000 request for a ladder truck. Motion lost~~'i~r lack of a second, Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that the council approve $18,000 for a fire aerial ladder truck-and that the repayment to escrow account of $27,500 be deferred. Motion by Luettinger, seconded bq Jacobsen, that the council authorize Vanette & mobile station for civil defense. All ayes o carried. The council recessed for 5 minutes and then reconvened with ail members present. Mrs. Gray and Mrs. Brickson appeared in interest for acquiring M.A.C. property and preparing a park area in New°Y~erd Town. Motion by Randall, seconded by Ltxettinger, that negotiations be commenced for acquiring MAC property for playground area. All ayes - carried. . ., Motion by Anderson, seconded by ~~.cobsen, that $7000 be authorized and held in reserve for replacement of street sweepers, All ayes m carried. - Motion by Anderson, seconded b~ Randail,...tkiat-$2000 be approved for the ,_ ` i purchase of a sander. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the purchase of six meter 1 antenna with coaxial cable be approved for civil defense. All ayes m carried. Motion by Randall, seconded by Jacobsen, that .the purchase of a slide pro3ector be approved for the civil defense department.
