A petition signed by 11 propertq owners in the area and dated July 18, 1966 requesting the revocation of license for Funtyme Canine Grooming Salon at `$617 Graham Ave. was presented and is hereby filed. The sanitarian appeared to answer questions regarding the situation: A memorandum to the Acting City Manager from the Sanitarian dated July 2S, 1966, explaining the situation at 6617 Graham Ave. was presented. C_7339 Nick Boosalis, 6620 Bloomington Ave., raised question of noi8e, hours of operation and screening, chaining entrance. Mr. Isaacs-spoke for the owner.. The operator, Mr. Runde, also appeared. Parking lot, sodding, fence and weed control were discussed. Mr. Isaacs is to submit to-the administration on improvements made on these conditions. 15. Food Stamp Program Discussion Letters from the 1st National Bank and Mrs. Fritz, Director of Relief, were read by the mayor. A clarification from the Relief Board attorney, was requested `bq the council as to whether the 73~ transaction increase is in _. accordance with the original agreement, and whether this is let out on bids. A review of the program is to be made at the year's end. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that Richfield participate under protest on the increase per transaction to 73~ with the stipulation that the above points be covered, Ail ayes -carried. 18. Request to Hold Contest - 65th & Nicollet Merchants A~ request from merchants in the area of 65th and Nicoilet for a permit to -hold a contest (Battle of Bands) in shopping center parking lot, August 10th to 17th inclusive, was presented. The council requested the administration to submit more information on this matter and poll them for approval. 17.,, Changing Precinct Boundaries Robert T~. Bruder, Republican chairman of Richfield, appeared. Gordon Anderson, 1tiFL chairman of Richf laid, also appeared.
