The council of the City of Richf laid met in regular session, Monday,
November 229 1965, in the temporary council chambers at the. Community
Center, 70th and Nicoliet Ave,, at 7x00 P,M,
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olsono
Presents Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and Olson,
Absents Anderson (on business trip)

Motion by Randall, seconded by Jacobsen, that the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 8, 1965 be approved, corrected as f oliowsa

The council claimed the nature of the petition submitted by Elmer Sorensen
for rezoning of 6824 Penn Ave,9 acted upon at the Nov, 89 1965 meeting, was in=

Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the .alleged petition be
returned to the applicant for ''f ding in the proposal and. getting reaff irma~
tion by the signers, and that the petition be returned .to the off ice by November

5. Authorize Cali for Bids ~ Insurance
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that the council authorize

6. Hearing o Rezoning ~ 840 W. 65th.St,
It being 7:15 P,M, Mayor Olson called for the hearing on the applica®
tion of B,T.A. Construction Co, and Ztwin City Baptist Union for the rezoning
of 840 W. -65th St. and read the notice of hearing.
Dan Rognrud appeared for the appliGan~.;and explained why the details
were not furnished to the Planning Commission in time for the meetings
Ted Goldman, applicant, also appeared, No persons appeared in opposition.
Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the hearing be closed.

the recommendation of the police department and the city engineer not to in®
stall, the fourmway signs at 76th and Clinton Ave, and that a-copy of the re®
port be sent to all persons signing the petition requesting the signs. A11

The city engineer read his report on the present plan, raising the
building 2,5 ft, and raising the t~uilding 4 ft. Cm7740
Mr. Dolan, engineer for Mr. Goldman, recommended a 5 f t. minimum,

Mrso Stanton objected to any proposed change and stated that the problem
arose from the Greenbrier Apartment'being as high as they are,
The council stated that the present plans created a potential water
drainage problem that could be a serious liability on the city,

foot change in elevation if 15 ft, high Austrian Pine tees are placed close
enough to give full screen along the west length of the apartment building-®
