The council of the City of Richf ieid met in regular session, Mondaq,
August 2, 1965, in the council chambers of the City Hall, 6700 Portland Ave.,
at 7100 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olson,
Present: Jacobsen, Luettinger, Olson. {Anderson arrived late)
Absent: Randall {on vacation)

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by R;nderson, that the council authorize the
clerk to advertise for bids on 100 boulevard trees; bids to be opened August 18,

It being 7:15 P.M. Mayor Olson called for the hearing on the application of
Clyde Melton, 650i 18th Ave., for an apartment use permit and read the notice of
hearing.
Clyde Melton, applicant, appeared.
The Planning Commission report was discussed.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the council defer action on
this matter to give Mr. Melton a chance to furnish information to the Plannir~
Commission, meet with them, and work out code deviations. Ali ayes - carried,

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council authorize the
agreement with the City of Bloomington regarding temporary booking and deten-

John Flannery, attorney, presented a petition opposing any annexation pro-
ceedings. Several persons appeared in interests

as the first step in annexation,
Al Baumer, 6120 Bloomington, spoke in opposition.
