Authorize Call for Bids ., Chemicals for Swimming Pool Motion by Randall, seconded by Anderson, that the council authorize the clerk to advertise for bids on chemicals for the swimming pool; bids to be opened April 7, 1965. Load Limits Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council approve load limits as outlined by the city engineer in a memorandum dated March 4, 1965, All ayes -Carried. C-752 11. Moving of Building Within City Roy ~Iickstrom appeared as applicant explaining that he had contacted the following neighbors regarding the proposed moving of building from 811 B, 66th rt, to 6615 Chicago Ave. with no oppositions V0. Isker,, 6627 Chicago Ave. L, P, Overby, 6620 Blliot Ave. Mr, tNickstrom said he intends to demolish existing garage and that the present evergreens along the rear of the lot are to remain. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the council grant the application of Roy Wickstrom, 811 B. 66th St,, to move the building from 811 B, 66th St, to 6615 Chicago Ave „ subject to written acquiescence from the above nas~d owners; that a chain link or six foot redwood fence be constructed along the south of the lot; and that existing garage be demolished or moved out. Ali ayes -carried, 12, Authorize Cali for Bids - Floor Covering, New Liquor Store Ralph Shinier, architect, and Bmmet Galagan, Liquor Store manager, up~ peered explaining the proposal of bids on carpeting for the new Lyndale liquor store as opposed to tile. ~5- March 8, 195 Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council authorise the clerk to advertise for bids on floor covering for the new Lyndale liquor store; bids to be opened April 7, 1965. Ail ayes - carried. 13. Report on Interstate Hwy. 494 and Penn Ave. Intersection Councilman Anderson reported on progress to date on the intersection of Hwy. 494 and Penn Ave. S. Since the Bureau of Roads was reluctant for further median cuts, the matter would need further s tudly by the Shell Oil Co, and the Planning Commission. Jo 5trub, 7.614 Oliver Ave. S., appeared for information and requested he be notified when further action is taken. l~Ir. Braurn representing the Minnesota State Hwy. Dept., appearede 14. Ambulance Service Discussion Jack Provo, county commissioner and Omen VJ. 5tubben, administrator for Gene rai Hospital, appeared. Mr. Stubben explained ambulance service was avail- able from tine Gene rai Hospital, stating that in several instances they have answered a call and then been asked to canc~ei it. From the county administrate tive standpoint he thought this was improper. Methodist and North Memorial Hospitals are tvuo that receive emergency cases from the General Hospital amm bulance~ if the patient's doctor is there to meet him. Chi>~~~' Johnson appeared with explanation on certain points. Harry Smith, president of Smith Ambulance Service, appeared. The council was of the opinion that their policy would be to support a private service, Mrs. Palm, 7427 Chicago Ave., raised questions. ~'Yie council asked the police department for a report on cancelled calls. 15. S,, for an efficiency apartment use permit at 6511-13 21st Ave. 5, and read the notice of hearing. Clyde Melton, applicant, appeared. No persons appeared in opposition. A discussion was held on violations of the apartment code. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the hearing be closed. Ali ayes - carried. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the council deny the request of Clyde Melton for an efficiency apartment use permit at 6511-13 21st Ave. S. All ayes - carried. 16. Mayor Olson called for the hearing on the applica= tiorn of George Cenadon, 6600 Irving Ave. S. for a land division and read the notice of hearing. George Cenadon, applicant, appeared.
