Ali ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded bq Jacobsen, that overtime be allowed in for the Assessing Dept, amount of $14,500.00, Ali ayes - carried, Bob Cook spoke on adding police dispatcher. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that two positions of dispatch- ir~ officer be created at a salary of $450 - $480, and that one be promoted to _ _ _ _sergeant,_ All. ayes. - car_rie_d,_ Lee Poulter explained his request for increase in firemen. Motion bq Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that two new firemen post- Lions be added and promotion for one from captain to assistant fire chief, Poll of votes: Ayes - Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Nays o Randall and Olson. Absent - none. Carried. Steve Rukavina spoke on Civil Defense apathy. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that $1200 be scratched from the Civil Defense budget, and the village should look~for an army reserve person for working in Civ ii Def enseq as a coordinator. Ail ayes - carried. Motion bq Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that a position of mechanic be added, and if the present senior mechanic retires, his position should only be filled by council authority. Ali ayes - carded. Park Division Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that the park foreman be advanced to park superintendent to report d3.rectiy to Director of Public Works, Ali ayes - carried. Motion by Jac©bsen, seconded by Anderson, that a meter reader be added. A discussion was held on using students for meter reading. Poll of votes: Ryes -Anderson, Jacobsen, Randalio Nays -~ Luettinger and Olson. Absent - none. Carried. Larkin McClellan, represented Int*1 Union of Operating Bng „ Local #49, requesting that his recommendations for the members of his union be approved far an across the board increase of $20.00, Steve Rukavina. gave view on part of a tax payer.. Prank Riley also gave views. 1 Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Randall, that a 2% increase to the street department, sewer department, water®department, park department be ~.p- proved.
