vxx.lAGB o~ ~xcH~x~r,~ Budget Hearing Septa 21, 1964 Pursuant to actian taken at the meeting of Sept. 14, 1964, the council of the Village of ~tichfieid met in the council chambers, 6700 Portland Ave., Monday, Sept. 210 1964 at 7:00 P.M. for a budget hearing. The meeting was called to order by Mayor ®lson. Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger and Clson. Absent: ~andalT who was ill. Cornelius McCoy and Ted Guth appeared in interest. Bill Prenz and Mr. Andrensen appeared representing the Citizens Tax Committee, The expenditure portion of the budget for 1965 was considered with the following actions P Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the Mayor-Council current expense budget be approved as amended, i.e. with the travel expense cut $300. A11 ayes m carried. Motion by ©ison, seconded by Luettinger, that $500.00 travel expense for the manager be approved. Ail ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council approve the Bxecu taus current expense budget as amended. All ayes - carried. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by I.ue ttinger , that the proposed Hiections budget for 1965 be appro•~red. Aii ayes - carried. Motion by ®1son, seconded by Jacobsen, that the wlerPg-treasurer proposed budget be reduced to $300.00 for tra~rel. All ayes carried. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Anderson, that the ~:lerk-treasurer proposed budget be approved as amended. A11 ayes - carried. Motion by ®ison0 seconded by Jacobsen, that the Assessor's travel be re- duced to X1050.00. A11 ayes ~ carried. -2- Sept. 21, 1964 Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the proposed Assessor's current expense budget be approved as amended. Ali ayes -carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Luettinger, that the Legal current expense budget be reduced to $200.00 for travel. Ali ayes - carried. Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that the-Legal current expense budget be approved as recommended. All ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the council approve the proposed current expense budget for the Planning Commission. A11 ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the proposed current expense budget for the Village Hall be approved. Ali ayes m carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Jacobsen, that Item #36 on the Library budget be held for further detail as to breakdown on Supplies and Mater~,als. All ayes - carried. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the remainder of the Library budget on current expense be approved. Aii ayes - carried, Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the council hold action on safety council proposal and ask them to present goals to council before approprim ating funds. All ayes -carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the council approve the proposed budget for Police except for hold on item #42 (Grants, Contributions & Subsid.) Ail ayes -carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Luettinger, that utilities (Item 23) in the :ire budget be reduced to $i500.00Q Ali ayes -carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Jacobsen, that item #26 (Insurance and Bonds) be reduced to $3000.00 in the Pire budget. Ali ayes - carried, b4otion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that Item #29 (Other Contrac. Services) be reduced to $300.00. Aii ayes - carried. 1 -3- Sept. 21, 1964 Motion by Anderson, seconded by ~uettinger, that item #34 {Misc. Shop Supplies) be reduced to $300.04 in the Fire budget. All ayes -carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the Fire Department current expense budget be approved as amended, A11 ayes carried. Aiotion by Luettinger, seconded by Jacobsen, that October 6, 1964, be set for a possible budget hearing. Ali ayes - carried.
