07-14-1964VILLAGE OP RICHFIELD Board of Review July 14, 1964 The council of the Village of Richfield met as the Board of Review in the council chambers, 6700 Portland Ave., Tuesday, July 14, 1964, at 7:00 P.Me Presents Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and Olson. Absent: None. Robert Martin, Asst. Supervisory of Assessments, Hennepin County, and Bldred~Wiley appeared; Mr. Ailey as previous assessor in assistance to the present assessor, Vernon Anderson. because of the over~fiowing crowd, the meeting was adjourned to the high school for discussion and explanation, The mayor explained to the people the background of the program of raising the ratio of full and true value to market value. Robert Martin explained the position of the county and the background leading up to the State Commissioner of Taxats.on°s stipulation that all proper ties throughout the State of Minnesota should be assessed at the ratio of full and true value at 1®3 of the current market value as established by sales. Eldred Wiley explained the procedure involved in the computation of in- dividuai valuations. Those identifying themselves and asking specific questions were as foilaws: C. D. The Board of Re~riew returned to the Village Hall with all members present, Mrs~_ S~ Id. Iverson, 6337 Standish Ave„ appeared, Motion by Qison, seconded by Luettinger, that this property (Plat 45880,~Parcel 5310) be adjusted to $8500. market value. All ayes carried. ~.2® July 14, 1964 Don Lynch, 6617 Lake Share Drive, appeared, claiming obsolescence because of new dF'W new hall. Motion by Lue ttinger, seconded by Anderson, that his property be adjusted to $16,050 i.e. $12,000 on structure. All ayes .~ carried. A.lfred,Vohs, 7244 Logan Ave. S, (Flat 45415, Farcel 1600) objected to no depre® ciation being applied. Motion by Randall, seconded by Olson, that the land be reduced to $3500. Foll of votes: Ayes m Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and ©lsono Nays - Anderson. Carried. C. ~f. Steffen, 6332 Girard Ave. {Plat 46065, Farcel 1450) requested information on increase, claiming he has backup of sewer. Motion by Qlson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the present valuation be left as it is, and that he appear at the council meeting re sewer back®up. All ayes carried. Mr. Hyde, 6333 Humboldt Ave. S. (Flat 46066, Parcel 1675) requested adjustment . on land value. Motion bq ®1son, seconded bye Randall, that the valuation remain as it is. Ail ayes ~ carried. R._'~~ Schurriack~ 6601 Logan Ave. (45355, Farcel 1500) objected to increase. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that land be set at $2500. Motion withdrawn. Mo tion by Jacobsen, seconded by Rand all that the structure be set at $11,250. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that there be no change on the above property, but that the assessor is to study the block. All ayes carried. James Anderson, 2000 W. Forest Drive, objected to change in structure value.
