The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olson. Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and Olson, Absents None. Rev. Ali ayes - carried. 5, Milner Pond Harry J. Todd, 6332 4th Ave, S., who requested another appearance at the council meeting was not present. Motion by Randall, seconded by Jacobsen, that hereafter, Mr, Todd is to put in writing any legal question he has prior to being put on agenda, and that Mr. Todd be notified of this action in writing. All ayes - carried. 6, Bire Department Annual Report Lee Pouiter, fire chief, appeared to eacplain various phases of the re- port including standard categories, mutual aid, and interchange of service with Minneapolis, A discussion was held on staff personnel and adequacy of the force. A report is to be made May 1st, 1964 on the fireman now on issue without pay. Dan Gumphrey, ?309 Aldrich Ave., asked if any school program is used to educate on fire prevention, 7. Hearing m Rezoning - 6511 21st Ave. S. It being 7:15 P.M, Mayor Olson tailed for the hearing on the application of Clyde Melton, for rezoning of 6511 21st Ave, S, and read .the notice of hear- ing, Clyde Melton, applicant, appeared explaining that the proposed building for this site was a one story twin bungalow. He also offered to dig a sewer -3- April 13, 1964 and lay pipe if the village would supply a catch basin to drain the area. No persons appeared in opposition. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the hearing be closed. All ayes - carried. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council. agree to the drainage arrangement and grant the request of Clyde Melton, 6501 18th $ve. S., to rezone 6511 1st Ave. S. from residential to multiple residence, providing a letter be furnished by the applicant that double bungalows only will be con- structed on the property, otherwise it will revert to its original zoning. Planning Commission Appointment Motion by Olson seconded by Randall, that the letters of resignation be accepted from Pierce Smith and Russell Kennedy and merit awards be sent them.
