Pursuant to action taken at the meeting of September 9, 1963, the
council met in special session in the Village Hail, 6700 Fortland Ave.o
Mondays Oct. ?0 1963 at 7x00 P,M.
Mayor Olson called the mee tang to order.
Presento Anderson, Jacobsen, Luettinger, Randall and Oisona
Absents None.
Absents None.
The following items held over from the Sept. 23rd meeting were given further
considerations
Motion bq Jacobsen, seconded by Randaiip that an appropriation of
$425,00 be made for a radio for the fire truck. Ali ayes carried.
Motion by Randall., seconded by Luettinger, that the council approve
a lease for data processing unit at $7600.00, Ail ayes carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that a,n appropriation of
$1000 be approved for the Charter Commission. Ali ayes ~ carried.
Motion by Randall, seconded by Luettinger, that an additional $400.00
be approved for painting of Lyndale lie~uor store, ~ Ali ayes ~ carr~.ed.

Bob Stevens represented the Police Federation requesting a $35.00
per month increase for personne9..
Larkin McClellan represented Local #49.
Paul. Raiser represented the Firemen°s Association.
Motion by Andersono seconded by Luettinger, that the proposed increase
as presented by the manager for cost of living consideration would be changed
to $16000. Ali ayes carried.

Executive Department be approved. A11 ayes - carried.
Motion by Jacobsens seconded by Andersons that the budget for the
~Cierk-Treasurer Department be approved. Ali ayes - carried,
Bidred Wiley presented views on salary increases for the Assessor°s
Department.
Motion by Luettingers seconded by Andersons that the Assessors
salary be set at $?35.00 per month. A_11 ayes -carried.

the salaried of the police department with the e~cception of the police chiefs

recommendation to advance three firemen to captain and add one fireman for

salary spread to regular mechanics be $15.00 per month and the balance of the

Motion by Randail, seconded by Luettinger, that the sewer maintenance
budget be approved. Ail ayes -carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Randail, that the budget for water
billing and collection be approved. Ail ayes -carried.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randail, that the position of water
superintendent be approved. Ali ayes - carried.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that the salaries for the
water department be approved. Ali ayes -carried.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randall, that the salaries for the
assistant liquor store manager and the liquor store personnel be approved.
Ail ayes -carried.
A meeting is planned for November on health.

clerk of court be approved. Ali ayes - carried.
Motion bq Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that a salary of $835.00
per month be approved for the director of finance. Ali ayes - carried.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Luettinger, that the salaries of the
health officer, fudge and village attorney be approved. Aii ayes - carried.
Motion by Randail, seconded by Anderson, that a salary of $850.00 per
month be approved for the liquor stores manager. Ail ayes - carried.
