Adjourned Meeting
March 14, 1963
Pursuant to action taken at the meeting of February 27, 1963® the
council of the Village of Richf field met in adjourned session in the
council chambers of the Village Nall, 6700 Portland Ave., at 8:00 P.M,g
Thursday, ~a.rch 14 , 1963.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olson,
Present: Jacobsen, Randall, Reese and Olson.
Absent: Anderson.
Little League Bali Fields
Councilman Reese presented a report on a study of the Little League
dated March 2, 1963.
Motion by Olson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the report on the Little
League dated March 2, 1963, be accepts d and filed. All ayes carried. Cm7150
Mike Tierney and Mr. Condon appeared representing the Little League re~
questing the completion of the fields by May 25, 1963.

Mrs„ Kemper and Mrs, Grigseth appeared in interest of Monroe Field,
Motion by Olson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council accept and file
the petition presented requesting stop signs on Morgan Ave. at 67th St. and
on 67th Ste at Logan Avee Ali ayes m carried, C.~7151
Pubes uildings
Ralph Shimer, architect, presented plans for the Street.Dept. Garage
and plans for the West Side Fire Station.
Lee Poulter, fire chief, was asked about the additional operating costs
involved in the second fire stations The mayor asked about the square mile
area served by Minneapolis stations, and on operating costs of second stagy
tion as compared to a single central station. The manager was asked to pro®

vide comparative cost figures on operations.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Randaii, that the council accept the
' plans for the street department garage and plans for the west side fire
station. Ali ayes -carried.
Pump House and Weil
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Reese, that the council approve the
construction of four new pump houses and pumps for the 1963 Public Works
Program. Ali ayes - carried.
