680' west from a point approximately 290' north of 65th St. to approximate-

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council ratify it s

Mr. Lindahl and Mr. Schubert appeared requesting a sign 7 ft.x150 ft.
to be erected along the top of the building at 1900 W. 78th St. and eight
pedestal type signs on used car lot.
Motion by 1~nderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the council approve
the large ropf sign C7'x150') to be erected at 1900 W. 78th 5t. All ayes ,-

Motion by Anderson, seconded Jacobsen, that the council approve six
pedestal signs to be erected at 1900 W. 78th St.; the pylon signs now

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Reese, that the council authorize the

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Reese, that the Railroad and Ware-
house Commission order dated Dec. 28, 1962 relative to a change in bus

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the letter from
Fred Babcock V.F.W. Past #555 regarding gift of new motorcycle to
Richfield Police Department be accepted and filed, and that the mana-

It being 7115 P.M. Mayor Olson called far the hearing on the applica-

1120 E. 78th St. and read the notice of hearing.
Peter Heinicker, attorney, appeared.
Wayne Flow, representing Phillips Petroleum, appeared as well as
the applicant, Gil Sandin.
Mrs. Shirley Johnson, 6709 12th Ave., questioned egress from the
station.
Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Reese, that the hearing be closed.
All ayes - carried.
Opinion of police on possible traffic problem and h3,ghway approval
for cutting into service drive was requested by the council.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that consideration of the
special use permit request be deferred until January 28, 1963. All aye s -
carried.
15. Hearing - Adjustment & Appeals - 6916 Logan Ave.
It being 7:15 P.M. Mayor Olson called for the hearing on the applica-
tion of Robert L. Thompson, 6912 Logan Ave. 5. for an adjustment and appeals
at 6916 Logan Ave. and read the notice of hearing.
No persons appeared in opposition. Mr. Thompson, applicant, appeared.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Reese, that the council grant the zon-
ing variation at 6916 Eogan Ave. 5., allowing owner to cpnstruct a two-
story house with a Side yard of 5' instead of 10* as required by Ord. #2.03.

16. Deferred Hearing -Vacating of Blaisdell Ave.--77th 5t. & 5erv. Drive
Mayor Olson ca~.led for consideration of the vacating of Blaisdell
Ave. at 77th St, and the Service Drive, which matter had been deferred

operation.

tentative approval to the off-street parking contract, subject to appro-
val of the sign at the next council meeting, the sign to h~.ve no running
