12-17-1962VILLAGE OF RICHPTBLD Regular Meeting December 17, 1962 The council of the Village of Richfield met in regul~.r session, Monday, December 17, 1962, in the council chambers of the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Ave. at 7:00 P,M. The meeting was called to ordex by Mayor Olson. Present: Anderson, Jacobsen, Schultz and Olson. Absent: Shields. Mayer Olson gave the invocation. 1. All ayes -- carried. 4. Petition - Fence at Monroe Field A petition signed by three property owners on Truing Ave, requesting that a fence be ins talled at Monroe Pield was presented. Gas Franchise The mayor presented his answer to several questions raised previous ly on the gas franchi$e question. Irving Kel~en spoke in rebuttal to the questions raised by the mayor and suggested that the council investigate the feasibility of a municipal operation. Mr, Addis raised question on municipar operation. Don Holding, 7145 13th Ave. 5., appeared. Ken Persons and Mr. Farnham of the Minneap olis Gas Co. answered questions. Shirley Johnson, 7609 12th Ave., raised question on Customer se~°vice ~05t~5.
