1 VILLAGE OP RICHFIELD Regular Meeting August 27, 1962 The council--o~the Village of Richfield met in regular session, Mon- day, August~27, 1962, in the council chambers of the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Ave. at 7:00 P,M. The meeting was called th order by Mayor Olson. Present: Arnlerson, Jacobsen, Schultz, Shields and Olson. Absent - none. Pastor Robert'', Dickson, Hope Pres. Church, gave the invocation. 1. Minutes; Motion by Schultz, seconded by Jacobsen, that minutes of the regular 1 meeting of August 13, 1962 be approved. Gordon Strom, applicant, appeared. A discus sign was held and Mr. Strom did not give the council assurance that he would eliminate the non- conforming use nor that the buildir~ might not be put to a non-conforming use. Motion by Shields' seconded by Jacobsen, that the council appropriate an additional $2000 for furnishing the kitchen of the Community Center Roam in the library as recommended by the manager, funds to be obtained from the Public ~+Torks Reserve Pund, Ali ayes carried. 25. Appointment of Architect for Preliminary Plans of Public Buildings A report from the manager dated August 21, 1962, was presented listen ing a number of architectural firms for preliminary plans for a proposed Village Hail, garage, shops and west side fire station. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Shields, that the council approve the appointment of Ralph Shinier as architect for preliminary plans on the proposed buildings for the Village of Richfield as a package. All ayes m carried.
