07-26-1962VTLLAGB OF RTCHFYBT~ Adjourned Board of Review Juiy 26, 1962 Tn compliance with action taken at the meeting of Juiy 12, 1962, the cauncii of the Village of Richf field met in an adjourned session of the Board of Review at the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Ave., Thursday,, Juiy 26, 1962 at 7;00 P,M. George Sund represented Hennepin County Supervisory of Assessment Office, Alsa present was Robert Martin from the same off ice. Presents Anderson, Jacobsen, Schultz, Shieids and Olson. Ludwig Brehm, 6739 11th Ave., objected to increase in valuation compared to 6745 11th Ave. S. Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson, that these figures remain as they are,. Aii ayes - carried. Wayne Johnson, County Supervisory of Assessmen ts, arrived. G. G. Theismann, 6204 Upton Ave., objected to any increase in~vaiuation because of the crosstown highway. Motion by Shieids, seconded by Jacobsen, that these figures remain as in 1961 and to wait further development of the 62nd St. crosstown highway to see if any other change in valuation occurs, Ali ayes - carried. Robert Manser, 6409 Mashburn Ave., stated that the valuation on his pro- party is-too high, as compared to 6700 18th Ave. S. Motion by Olson, seconded by Shields, that the to~a1 parcel of land be assessed at $18,950.00. Poll of votes Ayes - Jacobsen, Shieids and Olson. Nays m Anderson and Schultz.. Gordon Lundbe,~'g, 6345 Sheridan Ave., objected to the high valuation placed on his garage and breezeway. -Z- July 26' 1962 Motion try Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the assessor's figure remain as is. All ayes - carried. The Board re ceased for five minutes. The Board reconvened with ail members present. Arnie Johnson, 623? Thomas Ave., asked questions regarding the valua- tion on his property. Motion try Shields, seconded by Anderson, that the assessor's figures remain as they are. Aii ayes - carried. Milton Grein, 7333 4th Ave. S., ob3ected to the high valuation of his property. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the assessor's figures remain as is. All ayes - carried. Acting Mayor Shields presided. Stanley Olson, 6420 Vincent Ave., questioned the high valuation of his property. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Schultz, that the assessor's figure remain as is. Poll of votes.: Ages -Anderson, Jacobsen, Schultz and Shields. Nays - none.. Absent: {Olson not voting, Motion by Anderson, seconded by Shields, that the final. session of the Board of Review be at 7:00 on Tuesday, Juiq 31,, 1962. Dr. Bruce B. Carlson, 6629 Lynnwood Bivd., felt ttaa.t his pr®perty was over evaluated and that an obsolescence factor should definitely be establiwhed. Motion by Shields, seconded by Anderson, that the value of the property be yet at $30,000.00 After additional discussion Shields made a motion to withdraw his pre- vious motion and that the value of the property be set at $31,700 as agreed to -3- July 26, 1962 by the assessor. Seconded by Schultz. Ali ayes m carried. Jchn Simacek, 7538 Logan Ave., questioned the valuation of his proper® ty. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Jacobsen, that the assessor •s figures be upheld. All ayes - carried. Roy B. Peterson, 6324 Russell Ave., also questioned the valuation of his property. Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the assessor's figures be upheld.
