Bert Lindahl appeared representing Lindahl Mctor ~Co. and ob3scted to valuation on the 2.07 acres where his used car lot is situated adjacent to the garage. Motion by Shields9 seconded by Schultz, that a valuation of ~22s500.00 an acre be approved far the 2.07 acres. A11 ay®s - carried. bJayne Johnson9 County Supervisor of Assessmentss arrived. Lavid Boulay, 5316 Grand Ave., ob3ected to increase in ~Taluation compared to 6304 Granc? Ave. Harry Ffiffners 7614 loth Ave. Appeared. Hugh Webers 7620 16th Ave. appeared. Both also appeared objecting to the effect cn the property of the bets on the flight pattern. Motion by Schultze seoond®d by Anderson, that the administrativm staff conduct a study on flight pattern of fiats as it pertains to effect on property owners. All ayes - carried. It was also Buggsstsd that the manager ehecl~ on noise problems created by the swimaning pool in this area in Inland Build®rs buildings on Wept 77t,:~. C. Bob Martin was present from the County Superai.sor of Assessmert9s Of~'ice, -2- July 12, 1962 Donald O~Reilly and L. Le®, 6500 Nicollet Av®. appeared on the tax of the Richfield Theater. They requested a 70~ obsolescence because of tl~e depressed nature of the theater business. Action on this matter to ?~e an actio~a of the assessor. The obsolescence to apply to the buildings with the land ~ralwes remaining as established, Paul Ayotte9 7221 Humboldt Ave., appeared with questions. Pa'al Nystrom, 7539 17th Ave., appeared regarding taxes of Silver :pra;~ Alursery, 700 E. 78th St., objecting to taxes for 1960 and 1961, and with an additional increase this year, he was definitely disturbed. This matter was deferred to the reconvened board meeting. The mayor read a letter of protest from Matt Gillen. 1 Motion by Anderson, seconded by Shields, that the assessor was requested to write a letter requesting him to appear at the later meeting of the Board of Review otherwise the established values will remain. All ayes - oarrisd. Fxank Werdowski, 7533 Elliot Ave., objected to the fact that erroneous figures_had been given h3.m when he built the adda.tion to his house. He says the taxes being as high as this would have deterred him from building. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Shields, that the,e figures remain as they are. All ayes -carried. The Board recessed until 7x20 P.M. the Board of :4eview recon:aened wits the following members presents ~.nderson, Schulte, Shields ar~d Olson. Jacobsen absent, Stephan ~Tehotte, b2?~!~ Logan eve., qu~}stioned his home being valued x'or assessment purposes at the full market value. Motion by Shields, seconded by Schulte, to assess the list of ~arscnal property owners presented by the assessor at the values as presented. All ayes o carri®d. George Thereau, 7125 Stevens Ave., objected to values on his property. Emery Ise, 6825 Park ,Av®.9 stated they had been given an estimat®d tax of ~~d5~ so they bought on that basis. On a higher tax they stated the y wouldn4t have purchased, Bob Martin stated to the council that the county wanted to reach a 33 l/3~ ratio on personal property. It was decided the next date for the Boar3 of Review to be July 26th. J Motio°~ by Anderson, seconded by Schultz, that the meeting be adjourned. All ayes - carried.
