The meeting was called to order by Mayor Olson. Present: Anderson, Schultz, Shields and Olson. Absent: Jacobsen {on vacation) Mayor Olson gave the invocation. 1. Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the council approve the application of Skelly Oil CO., 1717 University Ave., St. Paul, for a co m® mercial building permit to rebuild the gasoline service station at 7701 Lyndale Ave. S., the front exterior to be of porcelain enamel. Mr. Backstrom, Chief Engineer for Post Office Dept., appeared and ex- plained alternatives to provide sufficient off -street parking, stating that negotiations were in progress with BridgemanQs, Ync. Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the council grant the application of F. N. Steinmetz, 1117 N. Broadway, Stillwater, Minn., for a commercial building permit to construct a post office at the S.E® come r of W. 65th St. and Rae Drive. All ayes m carried. All ayes - carried. Motion by Shields, that the permit be granted with a water easement stipulation. Motion lost far the want of a second. Water Lateral Assessment for Churchesg Schools The councir agreed that churches, schools, apartments, commercial.., multiple dwelling and industrial should be ass~~ess7ed for an 8-inch lateral for water. 30. Adjustment of Salary - Street Superintendent Motion by Anderson, seconded by Shields, that the salary for the -13- June 2 1962 street superintendent be adjusted to $750.00 per month for July, August and September, 1962. Price Adjustment for Swimming Pool Tickets• After some discussion on the swimming pool admission price, Schultz moved, seconded by Anderson, that the standard fee for swimming pool ad- missions is 75~ for all--no exceptions beginning June 28, 1962. All ayes - Carried. Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the closing hour of the pool be set at 9:00 P,M. beginning June 28, 1962. All ayes - carried. 32.
