All ayes - carried. 06660 1~.® Hearing _ Water I.aterai -~ Village Project #441 It being °~:15 P.M. Mayor Keldsen called for the hearing on the water ~.ateral, Village Project No. 441 and read the notice of hearing. The council chambers were filled with interested persons. The manager gave an oral report on the mee ting of December 5, 1961, as ordered by the council, with Hugo Erickson, Minneapolis coordinator on rates for possible use: of the Minneapolis supply for water. The conclusion was that it is un- likely that rates for Richfield would be any different from what Bloomington h~.s. Harry Mayeron of Orr-Scheien, Inc., presented a progress report on test wails, and advised the council to hold up on further work on treatment plant -4- Dec. 11, 1961 until the test well program was completed. Zile mayor expressed a wish that the council would reaffirm its position taken on September 26, 1960 (Resolution #2309) on the supply of water to be from municipal wells and fully treated, including chlorination and fiuotida- tion. Motion by Anderson, seconded by Schultz, that the Richfield supply of water be from deep wells softened, with chlorination, fluoridation, iron re- moved with one lime soda ash treatment plant, Ali ayes o carried.
