The council of the Village of Richfield met in regular session in the
council chambers of the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Ave., Monday, October
Z3, 1961 at 7x00 P.Me
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Keldsen,
Present: Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Shields and geidsen.

Motion by Serstock, seconded by Shields, that the special use permit be
granted to Socony Mobil Oil Co., 84 S. 6th St,, Minneapolis, for a filling
station at 2816 'W. 66th St., provided the filling station complies with the
present ordinance and paragraph Band paragraph R of the proposed ordinance in
the respect that no sight obstruction will be permitted at the corner of

Inc. was also present.
Motion by Serstock, seconded by Schultz, that the council approve the
bid of Cargill, Inc., and that the manager write a letter to the attorney general
giving him the village bids received on salt for the past three years. All ayes
carried.

Motion by Anderson, seconded by Serstock, that the clerk be authorized to
readvertise for bids on the purchase and removal of building at 70'L B. 66th St.
inasmuch as there were no bids on the advertisement of Oct. 12, 1961, new bids

37. Removal of Playground Equipment
Motion by Shields, seconded by Anderson, that the manager be authorized
to remove the "ocean~ave" playground equipment from the parks in the village

the meeting of the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and to inform them
