The council of the Village of Richf ieid met in adjourned session, Tuesday,
August 8, 1961, in the Village Hali: 6700 Portland Ave. at 11:00 A.M. The
meeting was called to order by Mayor Keldsen.
Present: Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Shields and Keldsens
Absent: None.
Mayor Keldsen gave the invocation.
1. Creating a Swimming Pool Construction Fund
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the following resolution be
adopted; that it be spread in the resolu Lion book and that it be made a part of
these minutes:
RESOLUTION NO. 2523
RESOLUTION CREATING A SWI MMIIVG POOL CONSTRUCTION
FUND AND 'IItANSPERRING MONIES THERE
Poll of votes: Ayes e Anderson, Schultz, Keldsen. Nays ®Serstock and
Shields. Absent - none. Carried. This resolution appears as resolution #2523
in resolution book #16.
Steve Rukavina, 7339 15th Ave. S., requested the floor to voice an objection.
Jack Rose, ExcounciLnan, objected.
2. Opening of Bids 0 Swimming Pool
Five bids were presented on the swimming pool and five bids on the fence,
and the mayor called for any outstanding ones. None were forthcoming,

Mayor Keldsen made a statement in response to public opinion on the swimming
pool on both sides.
The following persons also sFpoke:
Ellsworth Johnson, Councilman Anderson, Charles Little, Mrs. Martinson and
Councilman Shields.
After a conference and reviewai of the bids the following low bids were re-
commended for approval by the administrative staff consisting of the manager, Mr.
Larkin, the attorney and the chief inspector:
General Contracting - Adolphson & Peterson, Inc. $243,000.00
Chain Link Fence - Cyclone Pence Co. 3,220.00
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the following resolution be
adopted; that it be spread in the resolution book and-that it be made a part of
these minutes:
