Regular Meeting
May 9, 1960
The council of the Village of Richfield met in regular session, Monday,
May 9, 1960 in the council chambers of the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Ave.,
at 7 :00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Keldsen.
Present: Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Shields and Keldsen.
Absent: None.
Dr, Edwin K. Roberts, Hope Presbyterian Church, gave the invocation.
1. Minutes
Motion by Shields, seconded by Serstock, that the minutes of the regular
meeting of May 9, 1960 be approved. All ayes - carried.
2. Reports
Motion by Shields, seconded by Serstock, that the following reports be
approved:
Inspection Report April 1960 C -5883
Relief Report April 1960 C -5884
All ayes - carried.
3. Report on 1960 Census
Mayor Keldsen read a letter from the U. S. Department of Commerce, Field
Division, announcing the official population figure for the Village of Rich-
field for 1960 to be 42,418.
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Shields, that the letter reporting the
population figure for Richfield be accepted and filed. All ayes - Carried.

It being 7:15 P.M. Mayor Keldsen called for the hearing on the re-
quest of John F, Labo, 7745 Morgan Ave,. and A, Ne Tack, 5514 Oliver Ave, S,
to rezone property at 76th & Logan and read the notice of hearing.
Charles Tack appeared representing A. N. Tack, applicant.
Motion by Serstock, seconded by Anderson, that the petition con-
taining 9 signatures of persons concurring in the rezoning be accepted and
