After due caig and notice the council. of the village of Richfield met
in the council chambers of the village Ha11.9 Monday, Apri1.4, 1960, at ?t40
P®Me .
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Keidsen,
Presenta Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Shields and ICeidsen.
Absents None.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider a site for the proposed
Richf ieid library.
Miss Young of the Hennepin County Library Board recommended Augsburg
Park at the corner of 70th and Nicoilet Aveo as the most favorable site for
the proposed iibrary~
Motion by Shields, seconded by Schultz, that the council concur in
the recommendation of Miss Young and that pre]:iminary plans bq the architect
be presented on A~pril.2Stho ,Ali ayes carried
The counciY instructed the acting manager to instruct Bob Tait that
midget ear racing is to be discontinued at TaitPs Super Market.
The following topics-were discussed by the by the council:
1. ~stabiishing policy for retirement.
20 Placing additional 360 degree beacon lights on the fire trucks.
Motion by Shields, seconded by Serstock, that the meeting be ad-
