Special Meeting
February 88 1960
After due call and notice the council of the Village of Richfield met in
special session in the council chambers of the Village Ha118 Mondays February
84 1960 at 8x05 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Keidsens
Presents Andersone.~Schultze Serstocke shields and Keldsen.
Absents None.
The meeting was cal led to continue the consideration of the 1960 public
works program at the meeting of January 9:88 1960,
Motion by Serstocke seconded by Andersone that the proposed public im-
provement program and financing be adoptedo C-577'5 .~11 ayes - Carried.
Librar
Motion by A~].ersone seconded by Schultze that Ralph B. Shinier be approved
as architect for the Village library building and authorizing the manager to
draw-up an agreement. Ali ayes = Carried.
The manager was instructed to request the architect and Miss Young of the
Hennepin County Library Board to give recommendations and reasons as to sites
for the building.
Adjournment
Motion by Serstocke seconded by Schultze that the meeting be adjourned.

rates for fire .insurance on a single family house could drop from the present
20 cents to l4 or 12 cents per $100 of coverage if R3.chfield had some public
water system,
The rates' for the fire classification were given as follows
