Special Meeting
Pebruary 9, 1960
Pursuant to action taken at the special meeting of January 26, 1960, the
council of the Village of Richf field met in the council chambers of the Village
Hall, Tuesday$ February 99 1960 at 7x30 P.M.
The ~ee~ti.ng-was called to order by Mayor Keldsen.
Presents Anderson, Schultz, Shields and Keldsen,
Absence Serstock.
The mayor inquired as to whether Councilman Serstock had given a reason
for his absence from the meeting and the clerYc reported a telephone call re~
ceived at 7000 P.Mo from Councilman Serstock wherein he reported that he was:
at a corporation meeting and would be late, The mayor stated he felt that
Councilman Serstock was remiss for not 'being in attendance at a meeting of
this natures
Bus Route Protest
A petition was presented containing 35 signatures requesting the adminis-
tr~ti~re staff to work with the Railroad & Warehouse Commission with their
protests on moving of the bus route to Morgan Ave, South and request to move
the route to Penn Ave®
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Shields, that the petition containing 3S
signatures be accepted and filed, All ayes - Carried® Cm5776
Water Problem in Richfield
Mr. Frank J® Kilpatrick, asste director Environmental Sanitation Dept,
presented the conclusions reached from the samples sent in from Richfield
that the village should go for a central:~supply system of water as soon as
possible. Mr, Kilpatrick stated that 100% hook®ups should be required for
the sanitary sewer,
Hugo Erickson, Minneapolis co®ordinator9 presented Mpls.° attitude on
use ,of water by suburbs and offered Richfield a wholesale r ate of 17~ per
