Special Meeting
October 1?, 1959
After due call and notice the council of the Village of Richfield met
in special session, Saturday, October 17, 1959 in the council chambers of
the Viila.ge Ha11, 6700 Portland Ave.
Mayor Keldsen called the special meeting to order,
Presents Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Wailick and Keidsen,
Absent: None.
A discussion was held on water samples from Richfield wells. The village
manager presented a report on the nitrate and surfactants contained 3n water
samples taken from certain wells within the Village,
The discussian included any possibility of water pollution and the

course of action for the council to take. The council directed the manager
asfoliowss
1, To continue to test water.
Z. Determine from Health Dept. if any tests were taken when
the sewer was proposed.
3. Take two samples from the wens considered doubtful cases in order
to run a bacteria test also.
4. After tests are taken and results determined, the Health De-
partment is to be consulted.
The council was in agreement that they should not rush to a solution in

order to avoid any chance of error.
Bingo Permit
~' Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the council grant a permit
to play bingo at St. Peter°s Church on November 15, 1959, Carried.
