The council of the Village of Richfield met in regular sessione Mt~nday,
August 24, 1959, in the council chambers of the Village Ha119 6700 Portla~ad
Avee at 7:00 F.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor ~eldsene
Presents Anderson, Schultz, Serstock, Wallick and Keldsen.
Absents None.

Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the village grant an opm
tion to the parties who were low bidders on the $600,000 bond issue adver~
tiled for sale on May 27, 1959 to purchase the said bonds as advertised, at
the net interest rate bid by them, such option to be exercised in writing on
or 'before September 8, 1959. Carried.

apartment building at 915 E. 66th St, be extended six months from August 11,

50. Manager*s Report on Public Improvements;
A report was presented from the manager dated August 21, 1959 on pro-
posed $1,250,000 bond. issue for public improvements.
Mrs. Betty Lescher, president of the League of Women Voters of Richf feld
read a request from the League for an extension of six months time in order for
the League to study the proposal.
Jack Reiter of the Long Range Planning Commission read a memo to the
council objecting to the financing by bond issue, which memo was dated. August
20, 1959 and signed by four members of the commission.
Tt was further suggested that meetings be held with various citizen
groups,
It was agreed that a meeting be scheduled for September 21, 1959 at 8.00
P.M. to meet with all service organizations on the matter of the proposed bond
issue,
