approval to the off-street parking layout at 6430 Lyndale Ave. which contract
shall include the followings No car hops; North driveway for ineress and south
driveway for egress on Lyndale Aveo, inside storage of refuse with daily pick-up,
any excess to be stored outside and ail rubbish must be covered. Carried.

It being ?<15 P.M. Mayor Keidsen called for the hearing on the request

Approximately 30 persons appeared in opposition.
Howard De Motts, 6435 Russell Ave. appeared as spokesman for the group
presenting petitions containing 94 signatures in protest to the location of
these apartments and affidavits from L. L, Arnevik and Richard P, Davis, re-

Sandy Ackerberg appeared representing Southwood Properties' Inc., the
applicant.

The council agreed to defer this land division until the meeting of May
25th.

The manager presented a tabulation of bids together with his recommendation

Carried.
John Labo appeared in opposition to grading a full street because he
objected to giving or deeding any of his property for such purpose.
28• Request to Connect with Minneapolis Water
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the manager be instructed to.
write a letter approving the request of D. G. Harris, 1405 B. 62nd St. to
connect with Minneap oils water main until such time as Richfield has its
own system. Carried.
29. Rifle Range at Assumption Church
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the council grant approval
to the proposed rifle range at Assumption Church, 78th & 3rd Ave., to be used
by Boy Scouts. Carried.

The council instructed the police chief and village engineer to make a
report on parking and traffic problems resulting from Assumption Church traf-
fic at 77th St, and 2nd Ave.
