The council of the Village of Richfield met in adjourned session, Thursday,
April: 16, 1959 at 4030 P,M,, which meeting had been adjourned from Monday, April
13, 1959,
Mayor Keldsen called the meeting to order,
Present, Anderson, Schultz, Wallick and Keldsene

Motion by Schultz, seconded by Wallick, that the counci]: reconsider its action

Five residents in the area appeared, John Sieberz, 6434 Washburn Avee, reprem
sented the neighborhood requesting the following stipulations:o
l0 7 fte high, 6004 long concrete wall on the norths
2, Wa11 to be painted same color as back of shops which are to be shadow
block brick construction.
3e Paint the rear of Tait4s Super Valu store same color as the new addition,
Robert Crabb, Southdale Realty Co,, was in favor of checking on costs for the
above requests to consider at the meeting April 27, 19590

2, Atlantic Mills Building Permit
The stipulations presented~by the council and approved by Atlantic Mills repre-
sentatives were as follows;
l0 77th St, side of building to have 100% shadow block pattern construcm
tion and painted,
2a 20g shadow block pattern construction on 2nd Avee side to effect at
least 15% or more of the wall area,

3s That there be no entrance or exit on 77th St,
4, Move Nicollet Ave® entrance down from corner and parking to be permitted
over the entire area.
5, 20 fto easement deeded to the Village between the building and Claxkgs
station, No set backs
6.- Bond from off®street parking to be reduced when and if any of the
parking area is condemneds
7s Green ash or hackberry trees planted every 75 fts on the boulevard
area®
Motion by Wailick, seconded by Schultz, that the council: grant the commercial
building permit to Samco Investment Cos (Atlantic Mills) 222 B. Erie Sts, Milwaukee,

Mayor Keldsen called for the hearing on the application of Lyndale Investment Cos,
8840 1st Ave, So for a commercial building permit, which hearing had been deferred from
the meeting of April 13th,
After a discussion it was agreed that the Lyndale Investment Cos patch and main=
taro an off=street parking area at 6620 Lyndale Ave,
Motion by 1Nallick, seconded by Schultz, that the council. grant the commercial
building permit to Lyndale Investment Cos, 8840 1st Aves S., to extend the present
building at 6620 Lyndale Ave. Carried, C®5380
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Anderson, that the council give tentative approval

to the off=street parking layout at 6620 Lyndale Ave, Carriedo
