C-5309 -3- -March 9,, 1959 8, Off-Street Parking - 67th & Lyndale Ave« A discussion was held on the off -street parking requirements fvr Richfield Investment Co. being Lots 24 & 25, Lyndale Shores on Wood Lake (6?01-05 Lyndale Ave.) William Kirchner of the Richfield State Bank represente8 ~ti~h~ield Investment Co. Lorin Gasterland, b716 Garfield Ave., requested that the off-street parking contract stipulate plantings along Lyndale Ave. and 67th S#, and that no advertising signs be allowed: Mrs. Clarence Strom, 6801 Harriet Ave. requested that a 6 ft.. horizon- tal fence be erected on the east side of the property. Motion by Waliick„ seconded by Serstock, that the permit be granted for off -street parking of Richfield Investment Co.. with the following stipulationsa 1. Hearing -Adjustment & Appeals - 7538 Emerson Ave. It being 7:15 P.M., Mayor Keidsen called for the hearing on the appli- cation of Berea Lutheran Church, 7538 Emerson Ave., for a zoning variation and read the notice of hearing. Ralph Shimer, architect, appeared representing the applicant. No persons appeared in opposition. Motion by Wallick,, seconded by Schultz, that the hearing be closed. Carried.. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Anderson,. that the council grant the building variation to Berea Lutheran Church, 7538 Emerson Ave., for permis- sion to construct an addition to the present church with front yard set back less than that required by Ordinance No. 2.03. No. 338 being a storm sewer in the vicinity of 67th St. and Upton Ave.. and read the not ice of hearing. Motion by Anderson„ seconded by Schultz, that the council accept and file the two remonstrance petitions presented and identified as follows: 1. C-5317 The m~.nager presented his tabula tion of bids together with his recom- mendation for award. Motion by Andersonp seconded by Schultz,, that the council award the contract to Craig J. Alexander Co« for a total of $2735.00 as recommended by the manager. Carried. 19. Recommendations for Incinerators Motion by Wallick, seconded by Reldsen, that the council instruct the manager and attorney to amend the ordinance covering inside incinerators in apartment houses and commercial buildings including the recommendations -8- March 9,. 1959 met forth in the village engineer's report dated February 27,. 1959. Carried. 2Q. Development of Pillage Property A report from the village engineer relative to the development of village owned property on Girard Ave. between 66th and 67th Streets dated March 5, 1959 was presented. Harry Larson, 6701 Girard Ave., asked if 67th St. could be closed off, and asked that the area be filled in and leveled. Harald M. Boyd, 6715 Humboldt Ave. appeared.
