Railroad & Warehouse Commission Hearing on Fares A notice from the Railroad & Warehouse Commission relative to a hearing in the State Office Bldg., St.. Paul, Minnesota, on May 27, 1958 at 9:30 on fare increases by the Twin City Rapid Transit Co. was read. Motion by Serstock, seconded by Anderson,, that the notice from the R.R.W. Commission dated May 14,, 1958 announcing the hearing on increase in rates on the buses be accepted and filed. C-4956 Carried.. 7. Village Project No. 354 - Street Grading (Deferred_) 1 Mayor Keldsen called for consideration of the grading of street on 13th Ave. between 62nd and 63rd St., which matter was deferred from the last regular meeting. Motion by Serstock~ seconded by Andersan.~ that the council defer action on the matter of grading of 13th Ave. between 62nd and 63rd St. for considera- tion in the public works program of 1959. Carried.. 8. Morgan Ave. - ??th to ?8th~St. Requesting Fuli Width Mayor Keldsen called for the matter of the application of J. E. Labo, requesting that Morgue- eve: Qetween "`° --' '8th Streets be widened to its full width, which matter was deferred from the last regular meeting. A dis- cussion followed. Motion by Serstock~ seconded by Keldsen,. that the council defer action further until the next regular meeting to allow-the village attorney to con- tinue negotiations for the right-of-way. Hearing -Special Use Permit - 7121 Nicollet Ave. It being 7:15 P.M., Mayor Reldsen called for the hearing on the appli- cation of Wooddale Baptist Church„ 7101 Nicollet Ave. ,. for a special use per- mit to build a parking area for the church and read the notice of hearing. Gilbert Okerlundp 5119 - lath Ave., a member of the church,, appeared representing the Wooddale Baptist Churchr applicant. A discussion followed. Motion by Serstock,. seconded by Schultz, that the council defer action until the second regular meeting in June.. Carried.. 10. Hearing - Adjustment & Appeals - 7500 Upton Ave. It being ?:15 P.M., Mayor Reldsen called for the hearing on the application of Lyle Raverty„ 7500 Upton Ave..,. for a zoning variation to build a garage with only 10 feet of driveway instead of 20 feet as required by the Zoning ordinance, and read the notice of hearing. The manager reported that the applicant has completed the building in compliance with the zoning ordinance sa no•action is necessary. 11. Hearing - Rezoning - Logan Ave.t & ?7th St. It being 7:15 P.M., Mayor Reldsen called for the hearing on the ap- placation of Jahn P. Lobo, 6844 Rnox Ave. S., far a xezoning of property at Logan Ave. & 7?th St. from residential to general commercial and read the notice of hearing. John 8. Carried.. 29. Tennis Court Nets The manager presented costs of nets for tennis courts. ' Motion by Wallick„ seconded by Schultz, that the manager be authorized to p urchase six nets at an approximate cost of $420.00 to be placed as follows: 2 nets at Augsburg; 2 nets at Christian; 2 nets at Memorial Park. Carried. 30. Zoning Problems Councilman Serstock brought before the council the provision in the honing ordinance that permits manufacturing processes in a commercial dis- trict and requested that remedial action be taken.
