Pursuant to council action on April. 14f .1958,, an adjourned meeting of
the village council was held in the council chambers of the Village Ha11,,
6704 Portland Ave. Monday„ April 2i~ 1958 at .8:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by M~y+ar Keidsen.

Absent: None.
1. Cancellation of Special Assessments on village-owned property
The Village manager presented the problem of special assessments
which heretofore had been cancelled by acquisition of property for villa ge
purposes.
The council discussed various alternative methods of replacing the
cancelled assets.
Motion by Wallick,, seconded by Schultz, that an annual levy suffi-
cient to pap the principal and interest instal.iments of canncelled special
assessments on village-owned property be included in each annual budget.
Carried.
2. Village Project No. 342 -Sidewalk. Nicoliet Ave.--66th to 88th
The council discussed the assessment policy for Yiliage Project No. 342.
Motion by Wallick~ seconded by Serstock, that Village Project No. 342
be assessed at 20~ of the cost over a five year period because it is the
opinion of the council that the properties effected are benefited only in
this amount. Carried.
3. V_ i11a~e Protect No.. 341 -Street and Alley Grading
The council discussed assessment poiicies~ for V~.ilage Project No. 341.
Motion by Andersonr seconded by Schultz,, that Village Project No. 341 A

be assessed against all abutting property including those properties of the
Metropolitan Airports Commission aver a period of twenty years..
341-B be assessed against ail abutting property over a period of 15 years.
341-C not to be special assessed because provisions of acquiring south side
of 7?th St. from Biliot Ave. to 11th Ave. provided that no assessment be
levied against the property abutting on the south, and property owners on
the north having pre~iousiy paid for the construction of the north one-half
of this street.
341-D, B. P. G. - to be assessed over a period of ten years Carried..
4. Village Project No. 339 - Annual Street Improvement St Oiling Program 1957
The council discussed the costs of Village Project No. 339.
Motion by Waiiickb seconded bq Schultz,. that Viiiage Project No. 339
be assessed oa the basis of 15¢ per front ft.
Poll of votes: Ayes -Anderson,, Schultz,. Wailick and Keldsen. Nays - Serstock.
Absent - none. Carried

Motion by Anderson seconded by Schultz, that the meeting be adjourned.
