The council of the Village of Richfield met in regular session, Monday,
February 24p 1958, in the council chambers of the Yiliage Half 6700 Portland
Ave. at 7:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor geldsen.
Present: Anderson, Schultz, 5erstock, Aeldsen.
Absent: Wailick.
Mayor Beidsen gave the invocation.

Arcing Olson and Howard Dale, applicants, appeared. No persons appeared

Motion by Schultz„ seconded by Anderson, that the council grant the
zoning variation to construct a small two apartment building and double garage
on property containing 69&8 sq. ft. and known as 6529 Queen Ave« (Farces 9011,
Plat 46780), said garage may have a front set back of 25 ft. instead of the
required 30 ft. Carried. C-4845
14. Land Division - 7235-45 - 18th Ave. S.
It being 7230 P.M., Mayor Keldsen called for the hearing on the request
of Jos« Haeg,, 7200 Cedar. Ave,,, for a division of land and .read the notice of
hearing. The applicant did not appear.
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Andersonp that the council defer action

until the next regular meeting on the application of Jos. Haeg, 7200 Cedar
Ave., to divide Lots 5, 6, 7, Block 1, Bld er Grove 4th Addition. Carried.
15. Deferred Hearing - Special Use Permit - 2412 W. 66th St.
Mayor Reldsen called for the hearing on the special use permit xequest
of Dr. R. B. Ridier,, 2412 W. 66th St. ,, which hearing had been deferred from
the meeting of February 10, 1958.
The manager announced that he had been notified of the applicant*s in-
tention to withdraw the application for a special use permit.

The manager presented the tabulation together with his recommendation

The manager presented a tabu]a.tion of bids that the bid of Olson Equip-

ment~Co•. in the amount of $9p240.00 be rejected for the reason that the machine
offered failed to meet specifications in at least four particulars; and.that
the bid of Road Machine & Supply Co, be accepted as the lowest responsible
bid.

to explain the difference in their equipment and the equipment recommended

Floyd Nelson and Neil E. Packer, Reliance Screw Products, Inc., tenants
of Little Press, Inc.', appeared in support of their request that the Village

defer taking possession of the easement for street right-of way at 2208 W.
63rd 5t. for another year or until July 15, 1959. A discussion followed.
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Sersto~ck, that the council regretfully
deny the Bequest of the Reliance Screw Products, Inc. for an extension of the

21. Letter - Babe Ruth League Inc.
Mayor Reldsen read a letter dated January 2?p 1958 from the Babe Ruth
League, Inc. acknowledging receipt of Resolution No. 1477 passed by the
council on December 23, 1957.

bingo license to the American Legion Post #435, 65th & Portia nd Ave.,. to
