10-14-1957 VI~.TAGE of RICHPISLD Special Meeting October 14, 1957 Pursuant to tail of the mayor, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Richfield was duly held at the Village Half, 6700 Portland Ave.,. Richfield, Minnesota, on Monday,. October 14, 195? at 10:00 P.M. The meeting was called to or der by Mayor Kittell. Present: Waliick„ Shields, Serstock,. Schultz and Kittell. Absent: None. The mayor designated Clayton L. LeFevere as clerk pro tem of the meeting. All members of the council waived notice of hearing of this special ,~ meeting. It was moved by Wallick„ seconded by Shields,. that a special meeting of the Village Council be held on Wednesday,. October ib,, 1957 at 4:30 Y.M. at the Village Hall for the purpose of considering preliminary architec- tural drawings of the proposed public safety building and for such other business as might come before the council. Presentation of Safety Award R. V. Juetten of the Minnesota Safety Council presented two awards to the Village of Richfield, one for pedestrian safety and the other for traffic safety, achievements during 1956 for no deaths due to accidents in the village. Mrs.. Harry Rumpel represented the Minnesota Valley Women's Club and offered the services of her organization in forming a Richfield Safety Council. 18. Bids - Rock Salt Minutes of the bid-opening on rock sal t. for the village, October 9, 1957 were read. Motion by Schultz, seconded by 5erstoclc, that the minutes of the bid- opening of October 9, 1957 be approved. Carried. C-4707 The manager presented a tabulation of the bids on rock salt without a recommendation for award.
