36. Revocation of Taxi Cab Drivers License No. 173
Motion by Walliek, seconded by Schultz, that the Taxi Cab License
of John 0. Norling Jr., License #173, be revoked in accordance with the
police report dated July 31, 1957 and that no refund be allowed. Carried.
37. Park and Playground Properties
The manager presented a report on park and playground properties
dated August 7, 1957.

and that the council instruct the manager and attorney to negotiate for
the purchase of those properties designated as Group No. 1, and that no

The manager read a letter from the Villageaof Bloomington dated

August 9, 1957 requesting that the Village of Richfield state its inten-
tion of jointing i.n storm water drainage to Upper Penn Lake.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the letter from the
Village of Bloomington dated August 9, 1957 be filed in the managers office
and to instruct the manager to inform the Village of Bloomington that this
Village intends to join in the porposQd storm water drainage to Upper Penn
Lake. Carried.
l~2. Ice House Nuisance Reported - Penn Ave. and 70th St.
Ray Ripley, 6937 Penn Ave., appeared before the council to complain
of the nuisance of the ice station at the northeast corner of the inter-
section of Penn Ave. and 70th St.
The manager reported that this matter is presently under investigation.
