Pursuant to action of the council on Wednesday, December 26, 1956, the
council of the Village of Richfield met in adjourned session on Wednesday,
January 2, 195? at 7:00 P.M. in the council chambers of the Village Haii,.
6700 Portland Ave.
The meeting was called to order by Magor Rittell.
Present: Wallick, Shields, Serstockp Schultz and Rittell.
Absent: None.
i. Proposed 62nd St. Cross Town Highway
L, r. Pedersen, Hennepin County Bngineer, appeared to explain the re-

guest of Hennepin County to have the proposed 62nd St. Cross-Town Highway
designated as a State Aid Road, the type of construction, type of traffic
and service drives.

Motion by Shields, seconded by Schultz, that the council reject the
prop•::sed resolution submitted by Hennepin County acquiescing to designating
the ;:~+roposed cross-town highway in the vicinity of 62nd St. as a state-aid
road,

The motion failed to pass.
2. Division_a~nd~ Adjustment of Sneciai Assessments
The village manager presented a proposed resolution establishing the
policy of adjusting special assessments. A discussion followed.
Motion by Serstock,, seconded by Shields, that the following resolution
be adopted; that it be spread in the resolution boak and that it be made a
part of these minutes:
